Heading Home through Pulaski, Tennesse February 28-March 1

We left Anita's on Saturday and drove to Pulaski, Tennessee. Forty two years ago, Rod & I went on a spring break trip with Campus Crusade to Daytona Beach on a school bus. We were going to Moody Bible Institute in Chicago at the time and just getting acquainted. This bus ride was 50 hours long. The 2 drivers decided that they were tired so they dumped us all off in Pulaski during the day while they slept at the motel. We spent a lot of our time all those years ago at this court house. Since we would be driving nearby on the way home, we thought it would be fun to stop and reminisce. I'm sure that the weather was a lot warmer 42 years ago. It was COLD this time.

They had huge turkeys all over town and this was one of the prettier ones, if you can say turkeys are pretty! (Rod is the one with the Dobson Brothers cap.)

This is looking out over the valley when we left the next morning. There were 7 inches of snow on the ground. The motel owner said that he had lived there 10 years and he hadn't seen anything like this. So much for warmer weather in the South.
